5 Days Nile & Sipi Falls

This 5 days Jinja and Sipi falls adventure is an incredible safari which starts with a City Tour and then goes on to add adventure and adrenaline to your catalogue of activities. It is well thought energetic tour that puts you to a test yet takes your around a country well known for its beauty. In Jinja you will visit the source of the Nile, go around the city Jinja for a souvenir shopping and in Kapchorwa district you will hike the three spectacular waterfalls of Sipi.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival and drive to Kampala

Our representative will receive you on your arrival at Entebbe international airport and will later brief you about the safari on arrival at your lodge. Later you will start your day by going for a city tour in the capital Kampala where you will visit the important places of the city have lunch. After lunch you will wind up the city tour you will drive to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 – Transfer to Jinja and Source of the Nile

After an early breakfast your driver guide will come to pick you up from the lodge to transfer to Jinja. On the way you will have a stopover at Sezibwa falls where you will have great views of the waterfalls, beautiful scenery, bird species among other. From Sezibwa falls you will continue the journey with another stopover in Mabira forest where you will engage in zip lining an adventurous activity which takes about 4 hours or engage in guided forest walk where you will get an opportunity to view primate species view colorful butterflies and many tree species among others. From Mabira forest you will then proceed to Jinja for lunch then in the evening get to enjoy a boat ride to the source of the Great River Nile which takes about 1 to 2 hours. During the boat ride you will have great views of bird species such as the king fisher’s, cormorants, fish eagles along the shores, you will also have stunning views of the sundowner among others. After the boat cruise you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Transfer to Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kapchorwa district then to Sipi falls Lunch will be got en-route in a restaurant. The journey is almost 6 hours. Upon arrival you will go for a coffee tour which will take you to the villages and local gardens of the sebei. The foothills of these volcanic ranges are known for the best coffee in Uganda and you will live a first hand experience on how the coffee is grown,harvested and later prepared for brewing. It is one of the most amazing experience.

Day 4 – Visit the Sipi Falls

After breakfast you will wake up so early and meet up with your driver guide. Today’s activity of the day includes the hiking of arguably the most spectacular water falls in Uganda and East Africa at large. Sipi Falls consists of three water falls Cascading downhill at different altitudes and that is 100m, 85m and 65m respectively. Though the 85m and 65m falls are beautiful and easily Accessed, the 100m attracts the crowds. The water cascades down on the main water falls of 100m down slopes to the flat plains of Teso region lying South of Mt. Elgon and disappearing at a distance.

After lunch you will go for a bike tour that takes you around the local villages or a Sabiny culture encounter where you will visit the women who will show you how they excel at crafting baskets and also teach you how they don their culture dresses. After this exciting evening tour you will get back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Departure

On this day we will leave for Kampala through Jinja after a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer back to Kampala and upon arrival your  guide will drop you off at Entebbe then later will he will be taken to Entebbe international airport for your departure flight.
