10 Days Mt.Rwenzori Hike – Group

The Rwenzori Mountains stretch along the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, spanning 120 km in length and 65 km in width. These mountains are home to Africa’s third-highest peak, Mount Stanley, which rises to 5,109 meters, and are one of only three places on the continent with permanently snow-capped peaks. The Rwenzori is known for its unique and endemic wildlife, breathtaking glaciers, stunning waterfalls, rivers, and lakes.

Due to its impressive beauty and block formation, the Rwenzori has been ranked as Africa’s top destination and ninth worldwide for mountaineering and hiking. Various trails allow travelers to enjoy exhilarating treks in the mountains. The longest trail, known as the Central Circuit, is a 10-day trek that includes the opportunity to summit Margherita Peak for those who are up to the challenge.
